The federal government is reportedly considering reintroducing a number of administrative measures aimed at reducing energy consumption and improving operational efficiency, according to sources.
Among the proposals under consideration are a three-day weekly weekend, work-from-home arrangements for selected offices, and reduced operating hours for markets and commercial centers.
Sources said the proposals are being reviewed in consultation with relevant ministries and government departments as part of efforts to conserve electricity and fuel while lowering administrative costs.
The suggested measures are still under discussion, and no final decision has been made. According to sources, an official announcement is expected within the next few days after the government’s review process is completed.
If approved, the measures would be implemented following consultations with all relevant stakeholders to assess their impact on the public, businesses, and government institutions.
