Health experts say that both morning and evening walks offer significant health benefits, and the most important factor is consistency rather than the time of day.
According to medical experts, walking briskly for 30 to 45 minutes daily helps improve heart health, supports weight loss, strengthens muscles, lowers stress, and reduces the risk of chronic diseases.
Morning walks expose the body to natural sunlight, helping regulate the body’s internal clock, improve sleep quality, and boost vitamin D production. They also enhance mood and increase energy levels throughout the day.
Evening walks, on the other hand, are ideal for relieving stress after a busy day. Since body temperature is naturally higher later in the day, muscles and joints become more flexible, making exercise feel easier and more effective.
Experts say both morning and evening walks can help with weight loss when combined with a balanced diet and a calorie deficit.
Regular walking also improves blood circulation, helps control blood pressure and cholesterol, and lowers the risk of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
The World Health Organization recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week, emphasizing that consistency—not timing—is the key to a healthier life.
