Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has taken a sharp and sarcastic swipe at veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah over his recent remarks, adding another twist to the ongoing verbal exchange involving the actor.
The controversy began after Naseeruddin Shah criticized Bollywood’s silence over student protests and compared the film industry to a dog that cannot bark because it has a bone in its mouth.
Actor Piyush Mishra later questioned Shah’s remarks, asking where he himself was during the student protests if he was criticizing Bollywood for remaining silent.
Responding to Mishra’s comments, Kangana Ranaut took aim at Naseeruddin Shah and said she would prefer to call him a “fox” rather than a dog. She sarcastically suggested that being compared to a dog could actually be considered a compliment when it comes to loyalty.
Kangana further alleged that Naseeruddin Shah lives and earns in India but has sympathies for a neighboring country.
Her latest remarks have added further fuel to the controversy, intensifying the ongoing verbal clash and sparking fresh debate in Bollywood circles.
