Indian actress Hina Khan has opened up about one of the most difficult phases of her married life, revealing that during her cancer treatment, she once told her husband, Rocky Jaiswal, that he should consider marrying someone else.
Speaking on her podcast, Hina discussed her long relationship with Rocky and the difficult circumstances that tested their bond. The actress explained that the challenges they faced were not caused by incompatibility or ordinary arguments, but by serious real-life crises that tested their love and commitment.
Hina said that during her health struggles, as well as the illness of Rocky’s mother, there were several moments when she told Rocky that he could choose to marry someone else because she feared their lives might never return to normal.
According to Hina, she told Rocky that if he chose another partner, she would genuinely be happy for him. She explained that she loves him so deeply that his happiness matters more to her than her own desire to have him by her side.
The actress described this period as the real test of their relationship. However, she clarified that she was not trying to test Rocky or his love. Instead, she was being honest about the difficult reality they were facing.
Rocky, however, stayed by her side throughout the challenging journey.
Hina praised her husband for making an extremely difficult phase appear much easier than it actually was. She also admitted that she might not have been able to get through that period without his support.
The actress also addressed speculation that her marriage to Rocky was a publicity stunt linked to the reality show Pati, Patni Aur Panga. She dismissed such claims, saying that she and Rocky know the truth about their relationship and that viewing everything through the lens of publicity only takes people further away from reality.
Hina revealed that she and Rocky had been together for around 13 to 14 years and said that, interestingly, they might still not have married if circumstances had not led them to that decision.
Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal first met on the sets of the popular television drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where Hina played Akshara while Rocky worked as a supervising producer. Their friendship gradually turned into love, and after being together for more than 13 years, the couple got married last year.
Hina’s emotional revelation highlights that true love is not only about sharing happy moments, but also about standing beside each other when life becomes its most difficult.
