The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the schedule for the Multiple Choice Questions-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the CSS Competitive Examination 2027, with online registration now open for eligible candidates.
According to the FPSC, aspiring candidates can submit their online applications until August 20, 2026. The Commission has made it clear that no applications will be accepted after the deadline.
As per the official notification, the MPT will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, simultaneously in 19 cities across Pakistan. Candidates will be able to select their preferred examination center while applying online; however, the final allocation of centers will depend on the number of applicants and administrative requirements.
The Commission emphasized that only candidates who qualify the MPT will be eligible to appear in the CSS 2027 written examination, making it a mandatory stage of the competitive examination process.
Applicants have also been advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria, age limit, educational qualifications, examination rules, and other conditions before submitting their applications. They must also ensure that all information is correct and that the prescribed fee is paid within the stipulated time, otherwise the application will be considered incomplete.
