The Punjab Revenue Department has ordered a major administrative reshuffle in Tehsil Bahawalnagar, transferring 20 patwaris with immediate effect in what officials described as a move made in the public interest.
According to an official notification issued by the Assistant Commissioner Bahawalnagar on July 20, 2026, the transfers take effect immediately and involve patwaris serving in various revenue circles across the tehsil.
The notification states that several officials have been assigned to new postings, while others have been given additional charge of nearby revenue circles to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of revenue operations.
Among the key transfers, Waqar Ahmad has been moved from City Bahawalnagar/Islam Pura to Mari Mian Sahib-I, Qazi Ahmad Zafar has been transferred from Chughta Arain/Kot Ghulam Muhammad Shah to Peer Sikandar/Chak Muhammad Zaman, while Mazhar Hussain has been shifted from Rojhanwali to Qasimka.
Similarly, Abid Mehmood has been transferred to City Bahawalnagar, Wajid Ali has been posted to Chughta Arain and Islam Pura, and Muhammad Saleem has been assigned additional responsibilities in Mari Mian Sahib-II.
The reshuffle also includes transfers and revised responsibilities for Abdul Aziz, Nasir Ali, Imtiaz Ali, Muhammad Tariq, Zafar Iqbal, Umar Farooq, Tariq Amin, Syed Arsalan Shah, Ahsan Nouman, Abdul Muzakkir, Abdul Basit, Faisal Anwar, and Hamza Hassan. In several cases, previous additional charges have been withdrawn and replaced with new assignments.
Copies of the notification have been forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tehsildar Bahawalnagar, Naib Tehsildar Donga Bonga, and other relevant officials for immediate implementation.
According to the notification, the transfers have been made in the public interest and are aimed at improving the efficiency of the revenue administration and ensuring smoother delivery of public services.
